Go Skateboarding Day (GSD) is an unofficial annual holiday declared by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) to promote skateboarding. It is usually marked on June 21.

This year GSD was held at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak (PNS) in conjunction with Health Walk 2009 organised by Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara (DBKU).

On that sunny Sunday, skateboarding demos were performed by some of the best skateboarders around Kuching including Mc Jagger, Feroz Khan, Alvin Gamar, Donald Gani, Giacharie Tipik, Asyraf Hardy, Alexander Sumbang, Brandon Joel, Bonny Girin, Jerry Ho and Jc Adrian.

“Skateboarding is not just a game but a healthy sport that challenge a person physically and mentally which really suits the theme today, Health Walk 2009," said Nizam, a PNS officer.

“I wanted to expose skateboarding to public because this sport has a big potential yet not much people knows about it," he also said.

Also held on that day was fishing competition, karaoke competition, art competition, car boot sales, paintball promotion booth by PGX and more.

Rakan Muda Kota Semarahan Bowling Challenge

Rakan Muda, a government youth program for those aged 15 to 25 was the main organizer for the bowling tournament on Saturday, 16th May. The bowling tournament which was open for the public and Rakan Muda members had great responses.

Rakan Muda Kota Semarahan division, held the tournament in hopes that, members of rakan muda could strengthen the bond of friendship between members and non-members. The tournament was the first ever initiative that involved two divisions together.

Afiq Fikri Bin Brahim, president of Kelab Rakan Muda Kota Semarahan stated that the tournament was held as a form of bridge to connect members of rakan muda and non-members.

"This is not the one and only program to be held by rakan muda, we will organize more events this year to next year," he said.

"I hope that Rakan Muda all over would continue what we are doing, that is in organizing events and programs for the youth," he added.

He stated that more youth should be involved in the Rakan Muda community as the program could open the eyes of the youth into a whole new world.

The Rakan Muda Program is available in every parliaments division. Membership to Rakan Muda is free. To join the program, visit the nearest Youth & Sports Office.

Deadpool in X-Men Origins : Wolverines

No he's not holding a fork, its his adamantium encased bone.

There is a new movie coming out this year, called X-men Origins : Wolverines. The movie will be coming out this May, but according to the ads on TV its coming out 29th April, anyway just be sure to catch it at your nearest cinema, which probably mean if you are in Kuching, its either Star Cineplex or Riverside Cineplex.

The movie basically tells the back story of how Wolverine became Wolverine, his relations with Sabretooth, his healing powers(which is his original ability), what the Weapon X program is, his boring past, and just maybe how he made his hair stay that shape all the time, no seriously, how does he keep his hair like that?
But if anyone has watched the first and second and third X-men movie or if you are one of those hard die fans of X-Men comic books, you'd know that Wolverine got his adamantium skeleton from a Canadian government project known as Weapon X.

These are the heroes which are set to appear in the movie since it is the poster. The second guy on Wolverines left(which means to your right) is Deadpool(played by Ryan Reynolds) notice the guy on Wolverines right(your left), if you haven't notice it yet, he is Sabretooth(played by Liev Schreiber) and if anyone still do not know, Wolverine is played by Hugh Jackman.

It is not pronounce as Weapon 'Ex' but Weapon 10th. In the project of Weapon X, there is a series of human weapons in the 10th series of the project but if I'm going into detail, it would take a while to explain. So in short, Wolverine is one of those human weapons, along with his half-brother Sabretooth(does anyone know he is Wolverine's brother?) and one of my favourite anti-hero/mercenary known by many as 'the merc with a mouth' Deadpool! And some other character that I don't think is important. Nah just kidding.

T
he movie will also include the young Cyclops, which I think is stupid because according to the first movie of X-Men, Wolverine never met Cyclops, but I guess the movie maker somehow have a way to overcome this fact(maybe memory erasing, or Cyclops having a very forgetful face) and also according to the trailer that I have been watching in YouTube for like a hundred times or so, it will also include the Blob, Emma Frost, Gambit, Agent Zero and of course Reverend Stryker a.k.a William Stryker a.k.a General Stryker, and the role of a teleporting mutant played by will.I.am. Speaking of that, the roles will be played out by Hugh Jackman, Liev Shreiber, Ryan Reynolds, and so much more people. The movie is directed by Gavin Hood, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. It is highly recommended by me that you should watch this movie if you really like X-Men, and/or if you just like Hugh Jackman, or if you are just a fan of Deadpool! Unfortunately there is one guy who won't be appearing in the movie.

This guy: Yes! This is the guy who killed The Human Torch and Ghost Rider,
by cutting their heads open and taking their powers.
(At least i don't have a fork sticking out of my hand.)
